TGIF!!

For some reason, this week has kicked my butt. It must be because it was my son't first full week of school. Coupled with his karate and football practices, we have been running around like crazy. I am looking forward to the weekend.
The outfit:

Back to clinic

I love the warm temperatures and sun in the summer, but lets be honest - I HATE pants! As I mentioned before, when I see study participants in clinic my legs have to be covered and I hate pantyhose more than I hate pants. It saddens me, but I am ready for fall to arrive. At least then I can pair tights/boots with skirts and still abide by the dress code.
The outfit:
Zebra print top and teal cami - New York & Company
Brown trousers - The Limited
Turquiose heels - Carlos Santana
Necklace - Kohl's

Unintentional

I am a big fan of Kimberly's monthly Inspiration Calendar. However, this month has been so crazy with birthdays and bridal showers that I havent' had the time to plan my outfits around the calendar. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the calendar this morning (after dressing) and the inspiration was brown and white with a touch of pink. O.K., so my outfit is brown and pink with a touch of white. Close enough!

The outfit:
Jacket, floral top and pencil skirt - Ann Taylor Loft (also unintentional)
Shoes - Isaac Mizrahi

Studious

My Division Director told me that I looked studious this morning in my glasses. During my shower this morning, I acidentally squirted soap in my eye and could not fathom putting in my contacts.

The look in the picture is what I was wearing when I arrived in my office this morning. However, after a few minutes I had to put on my Oatmeal cardigan due to the frigid temps. I am convinced my office is being used as a meat locker during the weekends as it is always cold on Monday morning.

Dress - Ann Taylor Loft
Scarf - Sin City

Back in Black

I asked my hubby what he would title this outfit and he said, "Back in Black". Apparently, he has been rocking out to ACDC lately. I would have titled it "Uptown/Downtown". Uptown style is more feminine (dress and shoes), while downtown style is more polished and edgier (studded belt). No matter what the title, it is really comfortable and lends itself to the meetings that I will be shuttling to/from all day.
The outfit:
Dress - GAP
Polka-dot heels - Zinc (via DSW)
Necklace - gifted
Studded belt - New York & Company
Bracelets - Tiffany & Co. (gifted)
Blue topaz cocktail ring - gifted

Snuggie, anyone?

If you watch any kind of TV, you have seen advertisements for a "Snuggie". It is a blanket with arm holes so that you can stay warm, yet still retain use of your hands. Essentially, it is a robe that you wear backwards. Someone (person shall remain nameless) thought that I am a "Snuggie" type person and bought me one as a birthday gift. There are at least 2 problems that I see with this as a gift for me. 1.) It is August. Who requires a fleece blanket now? 2.) I have a robe. If I am cold and need to use my hands I can put that on. It has since been returned to where it came.

Today's outfit (minus "Snuggie"):
Top - Kenneth Cole Outlet
Skirt - Ann Taylor Loft
Necklace - Sin City Antiques
Heels - Shoedazzle (May 2009)

Birthday Eve!

Tomorrow is my birthday! I will be going to lunch with my mom and 2 sisters and then spending the afternoon at the new Cincinnati Premium Outlets. I hope that we find some good deals. Then my husband and two kids will take me to dinner. It will be a busy day, but I am glad that I get to spend it with my family.

The outfit:
Dress - Ann Taylor Loft
Cami - Mossimo for Target
Mulit-strand gold necklace - Sin City Antiques
Leopard print heels - Mossimo for Target (love the look, hate the feel). Seriously, bondage on your feet.
Silly, pre-brithday picture to the right.

Copycat

Last week, Kasmira, wore an outfit with a tank top over another shirt. I loved the look on her and decided to copy it. However, I didn't model my outfit after a super-hero. I don't think red knee-high boots and a red-blue-gold bodysuit would fly at work. Oh yes, if I could be any super-hero it would be Wonder Woman.

The 2nd picture is because my husband thinks he is Austin Powers and presses the shutter at random.

The outfit:
Blouse - New York & Company
Tank - INC
Trousers and necklace - Ann Taylor Loft
Shoes - Naturalizer (via DSW?) Cute and comfy!

P.S. I won't be posting on Wednesday or Thursday. But, will return on Friday.

Catching-up

It was not intentional to go on a posting hiatus after my 100th post. But work has been insane and last week I was preparing to host a bridal shower and bachelorette party for my youngest sister. The party was fun, but I am glad it is behind me. Now we just have to put the finishing touches on the wedding. At least we still have 3 months to prepare!

I finally caught up on posting pictures from last week, scroll down to view.

What time is it?

By the look of the lighting, you would think this picture was taken in the middle of the night. It was taken at early morning, but a storm was starting to roll in. The entire day ended up being chilly and stormy.

The outfit: Top - INC Skirt and necklace - Ann Taylor Loft Ring - Forever XXI Heels - Oh Deer!
P.S. The picture on the right is me being goofy (rare occasion!)
