LBD

I am attracted to Little Black Dresses, I have more in my closet than one woman needs. I think it comes from my mother telling me growing up, that a LBD is a classic and you can never go wrong wearing one. Each day this week, I will wear a LBD differently.

The outfit:
LBD - The Gap
Obi belt - Etsy
Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft
Tights - Target??
Boots - Madden Girl
Watch (free with Black Friday purchase) and earrings - New York & Co.

I am still getting used to my new hair color. I predict that I will be wearing a lot of black this week as I try to determine which clothes go best with red hair. Perhaps I will have to do some shopping this weekend.

Tank and boots - Target
Skirt - Ann Taylor Loft
Circle pendant necklace - gift from sis
'Love' Scrabble tile necklace - Etsy

Dressing for red

I became a red head on Saturday. My hair dresser and I have been planning this change for several months now. I waited until after my sister's wedding to make the drastic change. The challenge the last few days has been dressing for my new hair color. It might be awhile before I wear pink again. Rob's comment this morning, "Hey, your hair is the same color as the drapes!"

The outfit:
Cardigan and skirt - New York & Company
Red tank - United Colors of Benetton
Black lace cami - Target
Tights - WalMart
Red heels - Nine West
Necklace - gift from my sis

Velvety

This is one of my favorite dresses, it is super comfortable, has pockets and the best part was it was inexpensive. Typically, I wear it with purple or black, but today I decided to pair it with burgundy. I really like the combination and have received tons of compliments on the jacket today.

The outfit:
Plaid dress - Merona
Velvet blazer - Kohl's
Heels - Madden Girl (the bows are velvet too!)
Necklace - same as yesterday (gifted)
Earrings - New York & Company

Presents

I love presents!! Who doesn't? I am wearing two presents today, shirt and necklace. My mom bought me this shirt for Christmas last year. I love it on, but it doesn't photograph well due to the print. My sister bought me this pendant as a bridesmaid's gift for her wedding. It is a small silver circle with a script 'S'.

The outfit:
Shirt - INC (gifted)
Sweater, trousers and stretch bracelet - New York & Company
Necklace - Tiffany & Co. (gifted)
Black Boots - Merona

Catalogue Copycat

J Crew's catalogue is showing mini-skirts with socks and booties for fall. I decided to copy the look today. I wasn't sure at first, but I think I like the overall effect.
Sorry about the smile (or lack thereof). My baby sister got married on Saturday and I guess I am still tired of smiling for all of the pictures. The wedding was beautiful, the reception was a blast and I gained another brother-in-law.
Check out that red sky behind me! Isn't it beautiful?
The outfit:
Turtleneck, cardigan and socks - New York & Company
Skirt - Old Navy
Necklace - Target
Booties - Payless
Frames - Oakley

Lacking Inspiration

Our weekend was super busy with Halloween parties, football games and trick-or-treating that I did not have time for planning this week's outfits. That left me standing in front of my closet this morning contemplating what to wear. I kept it simple with trousers and a sweater.
The outfit:
Turtleneck sweater, tank (peeking out at waist) and necklace - Ann Taylor Loft
Trousers - New York and Company
Silver boots - Payless
