Rarely Worn Skirt

In case you can't tell, I am obsessed with Kimberly's Inspiration Calendar. It has really challenged me to pair items that I never would have thought to put together or to re-discover rarely worn items. This skirt is a rarely worn item, mostly because it was too small for a while. Now it is too big and is starting to pooch in the front above the pleats.

Jacket: Apt. 9 (Kohl's)
Tank: The Limited
Pleated skirt: Ann Taylor Loft
Leopard print heels: Mossimo
Necklace: Old Navy

  3. This outfit looks cute. I wanted to ask you, what are your work hours? I recently went back to work full time, but my hours are very flexible and I'm usually home by 3. However, I still have a hard time getting the kids (age 2 and 4) out the door in the morning, along with all their stuff and mine! Not to mention trying to look nice for work AND feeling guilty about working. Just wanted to get another perspective from a working mom who still cares about fashion!

I am Type-A personality and uber-organized. I am generally in the office by 7:30am. I drive to put my son on the bus at 7:00, so it makes sense for me to go in after I drop him off. I usually leave the office 4:30-5:30pm and rarely take a lunch. Depending on my workload, I may have to do work at home after the kids go to bed. It does help that I have a super-supportive husband. We do a lot of tag-team parenting. For the most part, I don't feel guilty about working. By being a working mom, I hope to instill values in my children (especially my daughter) that will help them when they are older and have to balance work and life.
